Winter Special -- Ginger Jaggery Laddoos

Cold, cough & fever are very common among kids (& adults alike) during the winter season. Winter season is a time when there is a higher availability of good green leafy vegetables and good fruits but the change in lifestyle and eating habits do impact health.

Let's try Ginger Jaggery Laddoos as a health booster dose.

Ingredients:
Jaggery (1 Cup)
Almonds Powder (1 Cup)
Grated Coconut (1 Cup)
Grated Ginger (1 tbsp)
Cardamom Powder (1/2 tbsp)
Black & White Sesame Seeds Powder (2-3 tbsp)
Desi Homemade Ghee (1/2 Cup)

How to make:
1) In a pan, on a low flame add ghee
2) Add grated ginger and sauté
3) Add grated jaggery and stir continuously to form a slurry consistency
4) Add Almonds powder (blanched-peeled-roasted), Sesame powder, cardamom powder, and grated coconut and mix well
5) Once mixed, allow it to cool down a little bit to hold the texture in your hands
6) Apply ghee on palms and start making small laddoos (if required add warm ghee to maintain softness and ease binding while shaping)
7) Once laddoos are prepared, transfer them to an airtight container for storage.
8) Based on the size, consume 2-3 bite-sized laddoos every morning.

All ingredients are traditionally known for their health benefits so add them as a health booster.
