Tomato Basil Soup Recipe at Home

Try our delicious Tomato Basil Soup recipe at home for a comforting, healthy meal that is packed with fresh herbs and a rich, savory flavor.

  • Tomatoes are a good source of Vitamin C. It also contains Potassium, Phosphorus, Vitamin A, and other vital nutrients. 
  • Basil is traditionally known for its benefits. It provides some micronutrients and it is considered good during a cold & cough. It consists of the goodness of anti-oxidants.

Ingredients:

(1) Tomatoes (peeled), (2) Fresh Basil (2-3 leaves), (3) Onion, (4) Ghee, (5) Cumin, (6) Pinch Black Pepper, (7) Salt (for 1+ year and use sindhav namak) (Optional: Add Nutribud Foods Raw Banana Powder for thicker consistency)

Cooking Method: 

  1. Peeled tomatoes & cut the onion in a small cooking pot (or pressure cooker), simmer it for 30 minutes
  2. Once it is boiled properly, churn with a blender or grind in the mixture 
  3. Again put it on gas at a very low flame, add, heat stirring homemade ghee add cumin seeds and basil leaves to enhance the taste. Add a pinch of black pepper. (For thickness add raw banana powder, take raw banana powder as per soup quantity, half a spoon or less) 

Usage Raw Banana Powder -- Half a spoon of raw banana powder, add water, and make a slurry, add into a soup to make more healthy and delicious

 

Suitable age : 7+ months & Above
