Sweet Potato and Chickpea Puree For Little Ones

Sweet Potatoes are a good source of fiber, potassium, vitamins, and other essential nutrients. It contains good fiber, so it helps to improve gut health. Sweet potatoes are a good source of Vitamin A, and it acts as an antioxidant. It is also a good source of Vitamin C, so it supports the immune system and enhances iron absorption.

Chickpea is a good source of protein, folate, iron, and fiber. Chickpea is very tasty and it has many health benefits. It improves digestion.

Ingredients:

1) Sweet Potato (30g), (2) Chickpea (30g), (3) Black Pepper, (4) Coriander Powder, [Optional: Choice of additional veggies like spinach, carrot, cauliflower, or onion]

Cooking Method:

1) Wash and soak Chickpea overnight
2) Combine soaked chickpea and sweet potato and add in the steamer and allow to steam for 15-20 minutes
3. Once done, take them out and remove excess water
4. Blend it properly for a smooth puree. Add coriander powder & a pinch of black Pepper to enhance the taste

 

Suitable age : 8+ Months & Above
