Sweet Potato and Carrot Puree For Little Ones

Sweet Potatoes and Carrots are nutritionally good to include as weaning food for little ones.

Sweet Potatoes and Carrots contain beta-carotene which is good for the eyes and for immune system. They are nutrient-dense and contain essential vitamins and minerals, and their natural sweet taste makes them appealing to little ones. Importantly, they are easy to digest.

Ingredients: Sweet Potato (1 medium), Carrots (2 medium), Water, Cinnamon (pinch) 

Cooking Instructions:
(1) Peel sweet potato and carrots and cut into small pieces.
(2) Take a vessel/pot, add sweet potato and carrots pieces, and fill with enough water. Bring the water to a boil on a medium flame.
(3) Allow ingredients to cook properly until they turn soft. Check with a fork for the right softness.
(4) Once cooked, drain the water (reserve a little for the blending process) and allow them to cool down. 
(5) Transfer into a blender and blend to get a smooth puree consistency. (Add reserved water if required).
(6) Transfer puree consistency to a bowl, add a pinch of cinnamon, and mix well. Feed your little one and discard the leftovers.

 

Suitable for 6+ months. Consult your pediatrician before starting anything new.
