Tomato Basil Puree Recipe at Home

  • Tomatoes are a good source of Vit C, it also contains potassium, phosphorus, Vit A and other nutrients. It can help to protect your cells from damage. It is considered as a functioning food.
  • Basil is a known as traditional food, It provides some micronutrients and it is good for cough and cold. It consists of the goodness of anti-oxidants.



(1) Peeled tomatoes, (2)  2-3 fresh basil, (3) onion, 

(4) Ghee or butter, (5) Cumin, (6) Salt (for 1+ year), (7) Pinch Black Pepper, (Optional: for thickness u can add Nutribud Foods Raw Banana Powder)

Cooking Method: 

  1. Peeled tomatoes & cut the onion in a small cooking pot or pressure cooker, simmer it for 30 minutes.
  2. Once it boiled properly, churn with a blender or grind in the mixture 
  3. Again put it on gas at a very low flame, add, heat stirring butter or homemade ghee add cumin seeds and basil leaves to enhance the taste. Add a pinch of black pepper. (For thickness add raw banana powder, take raw banana powder as per soup quantity, half a spoon or less than 

Half a spoon, add water make a slurry of raw banana powder, add into a soup to make more healthy & delicious


Suitable age : 7 + months and above
